What do you like most about working with Albuquerque Public Schools?

I have been fortunate in working at the local government level, state level, federal level, higher ed level and now K-12 level. Each has sector has its unique positive experience, but here at APS I enjoy the dedication that all have to educating the next generation and how they truly care for the students.

What are 3 words to describe your job with Albuquerque Public Schools?

Busy, Dedication, Fun

What drew you to Vendor Registry originally? And how has Vendor Registry changed your work routine?

Due to budget constraints for our District, Vendor Registry provided a no-cost solution to a manual process of notifying vendors of bid and RFP opportunities. Vendor Registry assisted with freeing resources to utilize in other sections of the Department.

How long have you been with Vendor Registry?

One year

What have you gained from working with Albuquerque?

I have gained a sense of community and learning what is required to run a large district. I went to public school and never realized all the hard work behind the scenes.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

I would love to be a DJ on a radio station and play my favorite music.

Thanks again to Rennette for accepting our Purchaser of the Month award. We’re proud to work with Rennette and her team and look forward to many years of collaboration ahead!
